Welcome to the Scotch College guide to Materials Design and Technology, where you can find primary information sources and starting points for your research and projects. Please note that this resource is not intended or expected to be definitive, more of a sampler so you can get an idea of what you should be looking for and some clues about terminology. The database articles, journal entries and all text items will have a reading level key to indicate the level of understanding expected. Videos should be able to be resized and controlled normally.

Britannica online encyclopedia is the best database for accessing information on a range of subjects. This database should be used for students that are unsure where to start and need to learn more about a topic before entering into some of the higher level databases.
This database is split into three levels Primary, Middle and High depending on how complex you would like the information on the topic your searching.
