Y10 ENGLISH: BOOK COVER DESIGN

Teacher: Lisa Palmer

The focus here was on redesigning a pre-existing task to incorporate AI in the design process. The teacher was keen for students to learn how to effectively “prompt” using specific language to generate images that connect with their choice of book cover. In this task, students had to critique the language they included in the prompting and the output that was generated.

Students were asked to document their process, including the images that were created and the prompts they used.

Y10 PHILOSOPHY MATRIX TASK

Teacher: Sam Sterrett

The focus for this Year 10 Philosophy project saw groups select one of 16 philosophers whose work influenced The Matrix and explore and present their ideas in the form of a multi-modal video production. The teacher was keen to leverage AI for a number of different aspects of the task, including the research process requiring some understanding of ‘prompt engineering’ and the creation of supporting imagery via Bing’s Chat function to represent links between the film and the philosopher’s work.
