The single thing that research has shown will improve student learning more than any other factor, is students teaching other student. Study teams work!
Checklist for creating an effective study team
- 3 or 4 students who can work together and help each other succeed
- Each member of the team is strong in a different subject
- Each member of the team is striving to achieve
- Each member of the team can find a regular time to meet together
- Each member is will to share their contact details and be available to help others at point of need
- Each member brings an item they dont understand to the meeting for the group to discuss
- Each member needs to be willing to work with the team and help each member
