STORY: Gage is the only member of his family to survive the firestorms of the Third World War and the nuclear winter that followed. He scavenged food and items from the ruins of his town for 11 months, but when his supplies were exhausted, he was forced to travel further afield to have a chance at survival. Four days after leaving his town he met another teenage boy, Tomás, and they hesitantly decided to travel together. They stay off the main roads, where the risk of being attacked by other desperate survivors is high, and stick to scouting small towns and villages.
