STORY: Jian was born on Amaryllis Station in the Alpha Centauri star system, a destination for ship repairs and resupply for those in transit to the settlement on Proxima Centauri b. As he was born and raised in low gravity, and therefore has reduced bone density, he knows that he will never be able live in the settlement on the planet’s surface. Instead, Jian is studying mechanical engineering while assisting with repairs to the station and ships in the space dock. He aims to become the lead mechanical engineer on the next interstellar generation ship, which is currently under construction.
