STORY: Born and raised in Broome, Coen is a hard-working, high-achieving person who is gifted at basketball. After successfully representing his region in a variety of competitions, he was offered a scholarship to attend a private school in Perth. While in Perth, he attended the U16 and U18 State Performance Program Trials, where he caught the attention of the Basketball WA High Performance Staff and was invited to be a part of the Emerging Talent Program. From there he was promoted to the U18 State Performance Program. In addition to basketball training, he has applied to study for a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Geology.
